Lambert Grijns will serve on the Advisory Group of the new Guttmacher-Lancet Commission on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in the Post-2015 World, in representation of the Government of the Netherlands and the High-Level Task Force for the ICPD.
The Commission aims to provide a forward-looking and evidence-based vision for SRHR priorities worldwide over the next 15 years, and to encourage the adoption of policies and programs that turn that vision into reality. The focus will include contraception, maternal and newborn health, sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, safe abortion services, nondiscrimination in access to SRH care based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and the need for high-quality, confidential and timely sexual and reproductive health services more broadly.
The Commission has 14 members, led by Ann Stars, President and CEO of the Guttmacher Institute, and Dr. Alex Ezeh, Executive Director of the African Population Health Research Center. See more information here: Composition Of The Guttmacher-Lancet Commission Announced
